Hi guys.

I have found out that posting oddities have lead to finding new constant plate varieties.

When we share our information/finds we get knowledge of new stuff out there, when others recognize oddities...Like Watermark says.

I am going to post just a few from Newfoundland, lots more from other Provinces and Canada.

ANYONE in the world can post, does not matter what country..Sharing knowledge is a good thing.

Please share your Scratches...Dots...and Blurs with us.

DOTS..Below is a Scott 133 Newfoundland..See the dot in the right numeral 3...Picture below shows normal stamp on left and dot stamp on the right.

BLUR...Below is a blur near the seals tail on this Scott 195 Newfoundland stamp as shown below.

SCRATCH...Below are 3 Scott 136 Newfoundland..There is a long scratch on the bottom of the middle stamp as picture below shows.

LETS POST HERE TO FIND THE NEXT VARIETY.

Wert, good going. I notice in the first stamp a "doughnut" in the "3". Is that a known variety or just a one of a kind>

No Peter..That spot you are referring to is probably a fleck of paper attached to the stamp temporarily..Then it falls off...Not even a true donut as we know it.

sorry about the stamp quality, but oddities dont pick stamps.

Here is a couple more to search

Hi wert, I've had this stamp for about 7 years waiting for you to post your stamp. I guess we're both lucky today.

I'd like to submit this 216. How would you describe/call the markings on the LR corner of the top left stamp? Ink pull, scratch. smudge?
It also extend partly into the bottom left stamp around the 1935

Gilles le timbre..

1-I would say it is an ink smudge on the Scott 216.

2-Your Scott 41vi has "vampire bat" variety showing the bite created with horizontal lines..My Scott41hasvertical lines that causes the oddity.

Here is another one ..Scott 55 with lines through the crown.

Here is another DOT on this Newfoundland Scott 196.

The stamp on the left has the oddity as compared to the normal stamp on the right...Possible variety...??...probably not.
