Senegal Lake Retba November 15, 2014 Lake Retba (Pink Lake) lies north of the Cap Vert peninsula of Senegal. The lake is separated from the Atlantic Ocean only by a narrow corridor of dunes, and is named for its pink waters caused by Dunaliella salina algae. The lake is also known for its high salinity and is an important source for salt across the region.  |

Bangladesh World Heritage Sites - The Sundarbans April 18, 2008 The Sundarbans is a mangrove area in the delta formed by the confluence of Ganges, Brahmaputra and Meghna Rivers in the Bay of Bengal. It comprises closed and open mangrove forests, agriculturally used land, mudflats and barren land, and is intersected by multiple tidal streams and channels. The stamp set depicts deer park, the river channel, beekeeping, and Bengal tiger.  |
