Here is an image of an engraved airmail stamp depicting a Northern Crested Caracara (Caracara cheriway), issued by Cuba on August 29, 1956, Scott No. C144, plus a photo of a juvenile member of this bird species.

1966 GB Set of 4 Birds.
On an Air Mail FDC special print from a pharmaceutical chemicals manufacturer Ward Blenkinsop. How unusual is that? - and what a perfect strike for Harrow!

Greater or American Rhea (Rhea americana), airmail stamp designed by Uruguayan artist Angel Medina, printed by lithography, and issued by Uruguay in 1970 as one of a set of seven stamps depicting the country's native fauna, Scott No. C361, plus a photo of a pair of these flightless birds.

I'm certain someone has already done this one in the hundreds of other posts but it is a stamp that always deserves another outing whenever possible.

JonEBoy - That's a classic all right, designed and engraved by French artist and engraver Pierre Gandon (1899-1990).

Here are images of five birds stamps designed by Argentinian artist Horacio Álvarez Boero, printed by lithography, and issued by Argentina on February 6, 1960.

Singapore 13 August 2013 City in a Garden issue with 4 stamps. Every stamp has 1 or 2 birds in it. Birds featured include the collared kingfisher, the crimson sunbird, the oriental pied hornbill, the magpie robin, and the baya weaver.
