The screen shot says it all. Aside from the mangled ad copy, the stamp pictured is a wannabe 388 coil single with implausibly small margins: If I am not mistaken, the stamp was featured in another thread on this site. Does ebay read these posts and deliberately choose the worst stamps mentioned?

Google interjects items that you have looked at or items similar to ones you have looked onto a current page. It is designed for you personally. Big brother is watching where you go when web searching. |

ebay has a stamp section set up and maintained by staff knowing nothing about stamps and collectors. Witness their painfully evident clueless use of the term 'Postal' stamps. Their search options of stamps by 'color'. I long ago gave up expecting much from them. |

The computer search software they use looks for words. Computers don't think, they react, and so if there's a word "stamp" it'll react. I found all kind of nonsense there that was put in because it contained that word. |

Quote: Their search options of stamps by 'color'. There's gotta be 6 or 7 people out there that only collect red stamps and maybe another 4 that just collect blue. Give ebay a break LOL |

Quote: ...Computers don't think, they react, and so if there's a word "stamp" it'll react... Actually, not quite true. Last year Facebook shut down two artificial intelligence bots after they began inventing their own negotiation language. You can read about it here http://www.telegraph.co.uk/technolo...nt-language/Perhaps that will be eBays next step, they will be able to cut out both the buyer and seller and just let bots negotiate. Would preemptively remove any costly transaction disputes! Don |

when I list something and include a face value of 5c, their software recommends I put $5 in their denomination box. |

It might be more profitable for our ebay sellers if they would train those bots to become avid stamp collectors. |
