Canada No. 195d, the 1932 1˘ dark green, is now recognized as being a rotary press, dry printing on gummed paper. Previously, this stamp was thought to be a flat-plate printing and was listed as such, but recent convincing research indicates the listing for this stamp in catalogs has been inaccurate. https://www.linns.com/news/us-stamp...ailable.html |

This confirms what Winthrop S. Boggs wrote in his book "The Postage Stamps and Postal History of Canada" on page 401 as follows:  It has been over 70 years (1946) since Boggs wrote the correct information above until when it was now acknowledged as being such. |

This adds to the number of different first Canada dry printed stamps as follows:
Scott 90 (unlisted variety) experimental intaglio sheet-fed rotary dry printed stamp while Scott 90 (listed) is its wet printed counterpart
Scott 108c regular issue intaglio sheet-fed rotary dry printed stamp while Scott 108 is its wet printed counterpart
Scott 169a regular issue intaglio sheet-fed flat plate dry printed stamp while Scott 169 is its wet printed counterpart
Scott 195d regular issue intaglio web-fed rotary dry printed stamp while Scott 195 is its wet printed counterpart |

On page 104, the Unitrade 2019 stamp catalogue now has the following change:
195d rotary press, dry printing (correct and changed from incorrect flat plate printing before)
plate blocks, flat press, plates 1-3, all blocks (unchanged and still incorrect)
I will try to get this corrected by Unitrade. |

hello jogil and thank you. Has this change been a replacement of the catalogue number 195d, so the new one (rotary) replaces the old one (flat)? Or has there been any additional catalogue (sub)number?
and did the catalogue values remain more or less the same for the 195d and other related items? |
