Does anyone know how an album publisher determines what stamps they put into an album supplement. I'm particularly talking about world wide albums. I am thinking about making my own pages but wanted an idea on what stamps to include. I'm thinking that they go by what kind sales the stamp had. I'm sure it would be impossible to include all the stamps from all the countries. I'd really appreciate any ideas you can give me.

Thanks
Jim

Hi James

I make my own albums using Stamp Album.com. I think the fee is now $30.00 per year and you can print pages from a whole lot of countries. I work on one country at a time and so far I have found no stamps missing. You can check it out first.

Here are a few of my pages from a couple of albums.

My experience with annual supplements is that they usually leave out things like sheetlets, opting instead for presenting them as singles, which takes less space. As well, they may leave high values out of some sets. Occasionly, a whole issue may be dropped because of space constraints, but may show up in the supplement for the following year. A lot of supplements will cover half a year and then half the next year (i.e., June to June) instead of the calendar year (January to December).

I am also interested in making my own pages. The question I have is the 8.5 x 11 is too small. Where can one acquire blank pages to match my albums, like the Minkus Supreme Global!
