Please help with identifying this stamp. The inner dot outline of both rosettes at the top seemed to be doubles to the right of the dots.

Certainly looks like a double transfer in the top rosettes.

I think this is going to be a Ty IV #26A, the frame lines look crooked to me. I'd invite a second opinion just to be sure.

No I don't have it listed anywhere. I have owned it for over 15 years.

This isn't the variety listed in Scotts 2018? they talk about a doubling of the lower half of the stamp as well. I don't see that here.

As far as DT's go on the Type IV stamps, yours is pretty minor and is not in that category of listed individual DT's or even in the category under the heading "Double Transfer", which includes some pretty impressive DT's.

I hate to show the same stamp more than once but I don't have a lot of <200kb images at the ready. This would be a DT that would fall under the general listing of "Double Transfer" for Type IV stamps. No question that it would command a premium.

Can you comment on my listing; Scott 11a? With scratch in upper left triangle?

And No, I do not consider that stamp a doubled frameline variety.

Ah I see the oval centers of the rosettes! and the oval frame line double. and the bottoms of all the lettering thinned or lost.

Deep Cert thinks that the stamp that started this thread has a shot at being 67L11E. Can't be 100% sure, but it might be.

It is illustrated and discussed in Tom Alexander's Plate 11 article here: http://chronicle.uspcs.org/PDF/Chro..._84/7042.pdf

Here is a 67L11E for comparison:

I don't think that there is anything special about 67L11E - its a minor DT, and sinclair explained that well.

Your improved scan might help verify the plating, which is always nice to associate with any stamp, when possible. I'll let you know.

Thanks for the better scan, but - can't be 100% sure of the plating.

You can put the proposed plate position with a ? after it as a notation by your stamp.
