Would any "New York City Postal History specialist know the street location of "Station No. 40" or what this office was re-named to?

Thanks in advance for any help.
Hal

Does the oval registry cancel have anything in the middle to help identify it?

Hi rev collector - No, it's a double-oval blind killer. Thanks!

1391 Madison Ave is the address on the Forte cover; that is the Upper East Side near 96th street. There would surely be a PO very close by a location such as that, so that is the general area where the PO was.
