Hi, I have this MNH 546 plate block with PF certificate. Do you think I should have the upper right stamp graded? I think it should get a 80 or above (most likely 85). What do you think? There is some red offset on the back. Would that be a minus?

Do you mean the upper right stamp? Wouldn't this encourage the potential to break up the plate block? |

Sorry my typo. I meant upper right. Yes, is it better to break the block up and have one good Stamp Graded? |

you have a plate block of 4 with a star, why not selling it as such? by the way you have a lot nice items for sale but not always the knowledge about them :) - did you inherit them all? |

Ok, I think grade 85 probably not worth it. If it is 95, then the single may sell much higher than the block. |

There would be a word or that, but it cann't be used here! That is a gorgeous block, why destroy it?

I don't think the stamp you are considering for grading is good enough to muck with the block |

Much more interesting as a block revealing visual evidence of challenges encountered when feeding a curved sheets of printed and gummed paper through a line perforator. The wandering perforations narrowing the margin in the middle of the bottom margin could lower the grade to 75. PSE and PF might treat the problem differently. Also, the ink on the back is unlikely to be setoff under the gum. It might be regarded as an adherence disqualifying the stamp from being called "never hinged". The block is more valuable as it is instead of becoming two saleable stamps and two unsaleable stamps. |

You are a seller concerned only for profit. Many of us are collectors in the stamp hobby. We like stamps. Breaking up the block is considered destruction by collectors. No,No,No. please. The stamp is not worth grading anyway. |

Why break the block up? The top stamp wouldn't grade more than the bottom if you get down to it. As stated prior with a propable 75 grade that's really just a normal graded stamp. |

First of all, do you know what the star means? If you do, tell us, please. If you don't, then how do you know you should ignore it when deciding what to do?
either way, don't split it up. |
