Doesn't give a potential bidder much confidence in the seller does it? Are the stamps apparently NH because the seller has serious vision problems, or because he/she claims to have no understanding of the meaning of never hinged? |

It's an attempt to attract a buyer who wants an unmounted mint stamp, while also seeking to defeat a future "not as described" return-refund claim if someone else determines it actually has been hinged. Clever. |

Term is used by auction houses - plainly not practical to go through the whole of an album checking every stamp. In this case, given his offer to scan the backs, I'm not sure I'd take his words at anything other than face value. |

The seller is disclaiming sufficient expertise to confirm NH/unmounted, although they look so to his inexpert eye. FWIW. |

Agreed, there should have been an image of the back, but, having said this, I know that the British market uses the abbreviation UM in some of their descriptions in auction lots, and, my understanding is that this is the British equivalent for MNH (?)

The US collectors use the term " never hinged", European, Australian, and most other countries use "unmounted mint". I don't really find too much issue with the sellers description. |

I think the guy is trying to be upfront that he is selling something he is not sure about based upon his reasoning. But, he could be a playing dumb., |
