Note that there is year 1955 under Sefkat Pullari in this series RA170-RA180. This green stamp (1 kurus) and the other brown 3 kurus have no date and no Scott # ??
Thanks for your help, again !!
René

It does not even look like a stamp. Probably a cinderella for some youth organisation

This stamp is not from the 1955 series.

The 1955 series - RA170-180- all have the date '1955' written on the stamp. The 1k stamp from that series is brown - not green.

As the note at the end of the section says, Turkey stopped issuing these in June 1958. As 'Official Postal Tax Stamps' -

But the 'Society for the Protection of Children' continued to issue these stamps for many years. They used this same design. I believe this stamp is from 1960-1961? (The entire series was re-issued, without dates on it.) My isfila is old & doesn't include them - I believe the newer isfila catalogs have listings for these - someone with a more updated version will have to confirm that...

They are listed in newer Isfila catalogs. My catalog is from 2009, but I don't have it handy at the moment.

Mine is 2011 - not in there or 2009. Need 2014 or perhaps even 2016?

(I'm waiting for 2018 to get a newer edition?!)

I was going from memory. I knew I had seen them cataloged somewhere. It's not Isfila, but here: https://www.yanstan.com/TURKEY/REPU.../ONLYCEK.htm.

Sorry for the faulty memory.

That Yanstan site is nice. It's strange to see how all of different catalogs deal with all of these stamps.

His (her?) listings seem very out of date - it says they're using 2007 Isfila.

Isfila has added alot of these with each new edition to their catalog. My 2011 version, for example, includes that 1st 1958 series in Yanstan, but not the 2nd one - which is the one Rene asked about. (Why would you add one series but not another from the same year?)

It isn't just the ending point either - the beginning points are different. Isfila includes (at least as of 2011) the 1912 series as the starting point. Can't speak for the others, but Scott doesn't include these. You could make a case that these would be 'Ottoman' & not 'Turkish' - but then Scott also does not include the 1923 series - whereas they do include other 'red crescent' stamps...

To the best of my knowledge, Pulhan, Pulko, & Burak are long done & not being updated. Not sure what McDonald the site is referring to? (it can't be the revenue catalog?)

It would be nice - someday? - to see Michel / SG / Scott / Isfila - and we'll even include Yvert - to all match up on these stamps!! Wishful thinking...

If you do a Google image search, you will also see a number of images which show this stamp in a violet or purple color.

Thanks Don - my mistake - the 1k stamp from the 1955 series is purple - not brown.

Entire series from 1955 here:

I don't know the year, but I believe the first two stamps (and probably the rest) can be found in the Isfila catalog. I have access to my collection inventory files, and I believe I also possess the first two you show:

I asked about the airplane stamp in a previous post on SCF. It's from 1937. Here's the link: https://goscf.com/t/30255&SearchTerms=tayyare,pulu
