This seller is from Hungary (or so I'm let to believe) and has some very high end German material. The strange thing is when I checked his feedback for comments I discovered a lot that he has currently listed that had feedback given for exactly the same stamps. I questioned him about it and here is his response:
"Hi, Your question is legitimate, but sometimes you can also give buyers of outrageous, unserious ...... happenings. So, in these situations, there is no choice but to resell items for sale. And yes, when buying more items, of course you can combine the postal cost. Good day I wish you. A & S"
It is a bit hard to decipher the true meaning of this but I think what he is saying is that "If I don't get what I expect/want, there will be a shill bid and I will relist the item" But I could be wrong.
The other interesting thing is when I checked his feedback comments yesterday (from my phone app) I was able to see the items he had feedback left on which is how I discovered the relisted item. Today when I checked from my computer at home all his feedback was marked private. Seems a bit shady to me. What do you think? Wolf-==-

My thought would be to post this question in the ECOMMERCE forum which is dedicated to discussing items and vendors on ebay. |

Yep, that could be (Possibility of returned lots) but he has over 20K of cat listed with $1.00 bids on most of his stuff with less than 24hours to go. Maybe there are others suspect of his listings? I'm impressed with the SCN community for flagging this ebay scammer. Doubt if he reads SCN. Where the real collectors are! Wolf-==- |

I saw a signed photo of Erwin rommel in his listings;he only has 4 things... Anyway; the signature of Rommel is very similar to another item that was sold by seller:collectors.view below: The rebeka_stamps92 item: Now the two signatures are not totally identical but strange I thought.I'm not a graphologist but looking at the other Rommel signatures on the net;no two are so identical... Of coarse this stuff can be forged like all the rest... |

The easiest way to detect shill bidding is to click on the bidder and see his/her bidding history, which shows their six-month activity with ebay and the seller in particular. It is not uncommon to find bidders with 2000+ bids over six months, with 95-100% of their bids going to the same sellers' items, and virtually no purchases. Shill bidding is one of ebay's dirty little secrets. They profit from it, and appear to do little to combat it. |

I believe there is a fairly comprehensive discussion of shilling on ebay found on Stampsmarter.com |

Hi archerg, I just went and read the article about shill bidding on Stampsmarter.com and it explained how to see a bidders last 30 days of bidding activity. Please tell me how you are able to see the bidders last 6 months of activity? I'd be interested to know. Thanks! Wolf-==- |

Likely I was mistaken about six-month period, sorry, thought I recalled seeing six-month histories on some of the European websites. It's 30 days here, same "research" method. |

Hi Stampwolf As I collect and sell German stamps I have come across this "seller" before. The items listed are all very desirable rare items and all are fakes, reproductions or forgeries. You can almost always ID these scammers by low numbers of feedback( usually less than 50 ), they only have rare and desirable items - no run of the mill items offered for sale, and they just suddenly stop listing and fade away as they have created a new seller account to continue scamming people and keep a low profile. Comes under the " to good to be true " heading.
Caveat Emptor !
