Well, since a used copy is illustrated in the Scott catalog, at least one copy exists, somewhere.

Thanks. Maybe someday a lot of these will be released by the government like all the narcotic stamps on the market lately in blocks and partial sheets.

I recall reading about the discovery of the Scott listed 10 cent variety some time ago, by a collector I believe. Maybe it was in Linn's?

I too have never seen an example offered for sale, anywhere.

I don't think that that many different denominations of narcotic stamps were sold by the Smithsonian or are still being retained. But, of the ones that were sold, there were some pretty large quantities.

These denominations are valued way too high in Scott, in my opinion.

If I recall the story of the discovery of RH5 was in the American Revenuer a few years back. A single copy was found in a buck lot. I also believe Ron wrote about the proofs in the government archives.

You're right, it was in the American Revenuer.

There is not likely to be a large release of these stamps from the National Postal Museum. I believe they, the Bureau of Engraving & Printing or the National Numismatic Collection has one full sheet. not enough to disgorge an unseeingly number of a rare stamp.

Only one example has been found, it is pictured in the article above. There may be others out there waiting to be discovered.
