Thank you Chasa for identifying the pirfin MLI. I have been learning a lot over the past, nearly a year, while creating a collection spreadsheet; but, I am still a progressing novice.
New question. I have seen various exchanges here, and internet info about (Mint) hinging and unused; but, nothing that answers my specific question. I know that hinged stamps are less desirable to many collectors; so, when cataloging an Unused-hinged, I cannot give it the suggested Scott price for Unused F/NH; but, is it still rated at that price or must I use the Used price?
Typically, catalogues have a cut-off date after which they only price unmounted mint (what you would call mint never hinged). This varies from catalogue to catalogue, and can be 1930s, post-WWII or 1960. Earlier stamps are ordinarily priced as mint (your mint hinged), and the catalogue may include an indication of the mark-up for unmounted. You can't simply read across a used price to mint for later material because the used stamp may be more or less valueless or, conversely, have additional value.
