The PF fraud was 35 years ago involving one person (computer operator) working for the Philatelic Foundation. Three others also involved (ASDA President) were also implicated in the fraud.
Are the preliminary certificates you mention from the APS Quick ID?
Wm. T. Crowe also issues certs. independently and for the PSE. |

After all, everyone has THREE 594 AND THREE 596 sitting around. Of course with such rarities as 331, 405, 501, 502, 506, 507, 509, 424d, and 499 in the group there are sure to be some items coming back as genuine. |

No-one here will believe a word you write without pictures to back up your beliefs. I really hope you have what you think you have. Why have you not added pictures ?. |

On 05/06/2018 you posted this... Quote: I will upload a scan later today of the two I am sending in and will let you pic which one you wish. Also I would be willing to sell one for 50% of cat value to any registered member of the forum prior to running it through an auction to show appreciation to members that make it such a valuable resource for many of us. |

Stranger things have happened, like this. Of course it was presented after being verified. Anything else invites skepticism. https://goscf.com/t/36270I really hope one of your more rare stamps come back with a cert. They are out there, it just a matter of finding a needle in a million haystacks. |

Stamp collecting is a fascinating hobby and I love to meet all of the collectors who love to pursue the chase to acquire the rarest stamps ever made by postal services of the most obscure countries who have contracted to have produced the postage stamps to be used by citizens of their countries and even have collectors acquire the stamps after the fact even if they are rare and difficult to acquire without spending too much money and even if this wasn't so much fun I would have a hard time resisting following along with all of the fascinating stories of all of our fellow members who have convinced themselves that the rarest of all stamps, produced by the above mentioned countries, have found their way into their collections!! |

The rare Scott 613 is a rotary press printing, and thus will have selvage all around the edge of the pane. All stamps will be fully perforated.
The two stamps most recently above have straight edges with part of the guide line showing - clearly they must be flat plate printings. Sorry. |

I'm glad someone asked what a #613 was as I didn't want to seem stupid !!
Then again I dont collect US stamps, but I am intrigued weather Stuckonstamps767 will post one, he did mention in the "Introduce Yourself Here" that he had rare stamps.

Indeed the guideline shows it's flat while a 613 as a sheet waste stamp can actually have a straight edge. |

Quote: I had a funny feeling knowing they were clearly not booklet stamps with visible joint line on straight edge which tells me they are rotary press I don't think that's correct... |
