too bad I won't be posting anything on the forum in the future with the exception of my certs. Not sure if its immaturity or if its just a bunch of bitter old men waiting to drop dead while pondering the life they wasted and rare stamps they never found but the vibe here just doesn't suit my liking too many douche bags. |

Great attitude, goinpostal! A number of the folks posting here have actually tried to be helpful, if honestly trying to check their advice.
Stuckonstamps767, thanks for showing a scan of the backs! By the way, the bottom stamps of your strip have great centering! As cfrphoto mentions, it is useful to compare to known 610's. These look like 610 to me. |

On May 6th you posted this... Quote: I will upload a scan later today of the two I am sending in and will let you pic which one you wish. Also I would be willing to sell one for 50% of cat value to any registered member of the forum prior to running it through an auction to show appreciation to members that make it such a valuable resource for many of us. Then you posted pics of the two stamps you are sending for certs. Why wouldn't you send in the stamp you posted in the other thread? https://goscf.com/t/61733This means you now claim to have three very rare stamps...You need to cut the "bitter old men" some slack for being skeptical... |

Goinpostal, 51studebaker made this offer on 4/30/18: Quote: ... But if you are a true believer in your #613, then I have a deal for you. Please send it in for a cert and if it comes back as a legitimate #613, I will pay for the cert. But if it comes back as something other than a real #613, you foot the bill. If you believe, then this is a no-risk chance to get a free cert (which you would need if you ever go to sell it). Don Your reply on 5/6/18 was: Quote: Deal was planning to send it to apex or pse It is now 7/1/18. I would just like to see that deal consummated and see the results. I'm sure the audience of readers of this thread would love to see how this ends, hopefully with a nice cert for you, and a bill for Don. But unless we hear otherwise, people will continue to doubt your comments. Good luck, and please keep us informed, good or bad cert. |

A bill or redemption, either one as long as we close out this issue. I'm rooting for Don! |

It's not just stamps, guys....we run into numismatic dreamers every day of the week. Countless hours are spent on the phone with treasure hunters who just " found" a 1943 copper cent. If I had a nickel for every one of those calls I fielded, I actually would be well on my way to buying a genuine 1943 copper cent- lol....seriously though, it's human nature to want to believe that you struck gold. We all know the end result of this scenario because we have seen it play out so many times, and it's always a hard pill to swallow for the would-be lottery winner. |

Who would you send it in to? Cause it seems rather risky to send a rare stamp in for cert. Isn't there a way to have it backed by a reputable stamp collectors? So if not one sole believes it to be true that another stamp collector and a new one at that posses this rare stamp how do you trust one that could just swap it out and say it was a 610 everyone laughs and the thief who's opinion is the final say moves on with his new trophy so to speak. I have a collection that belonged to a wealthy family from back in the civil war days. They started Milton national Bank, owned oil fields, funded Warner Bros,so on and so on. Does the name Bull,Greene,Zita, Miner ring a bell. Kentucky to Newport Beach CA. |
