I must have missed this thread earlier.

A very nice and interesting block!

Now, how do you suppose this came about? I can see that an E perforator was used, but why is there both an offset and a gap between the 2 misperf punches?

Yes I love collecting error stamps Spock,I didn't answer this thread as the shape of the perforation error has got me stumped ,it looks like the punch has lifted the sheet and re-punched it .

sorry I didn't answer Spock

regards mate

yes I am most amused by the error myself thats why I bought it. also notice in the selvage towards the end there are perf holes which never ever happens in an indian sheet. I wonder what glue they were sniffing.

and K

you are supposed to provide the answers I bring the questions that was our deal :)

That is one of the characteristics of the EE perforator. You will see extra perfs extending past the intersection, but not necessarily all the way to the selvage.

I would say somehow during the perforation process, the step was interrupted.

You will notice the perforations in the partial perf are weak and slightly wobbly. Maybe they recognized there was a problem with the perforator, stopped it to fix it, but didn't realize this particular sheet had already been partially perforated?

Even with the completed perforations, you still see a repeatable wobbling.

I'd be more than happy to punch a bunch of extra perforation holes in your stamp. Just send it my way...
