Iran Sc 05-07.
Iran notorious for fakes/forgeries.

Scott states "beware of forgeries and/or reprints of MOST Iran stamps between the
years 1870-1925. Collectors should be aware that forgeries of many issues
outnumber genuine examples by 10 or 20 to one. These stamps should be
examined or authenticated by acknowledged experts BEFORE purchase.

For all the Iran collectors out there. A minefield.

Excellent site for Iran identification.

For the last 15+ years I have been flipping through the pages of the Iran Classic Philatelic Reference Volume 1. And I am a mere student. I sell many stamps on ebay and mostly Persia/Iran-
The problem with the three stamps I am in search of in valid certified condition are: the perfs of the stamps. Are they a reprint? Then the handstamps. The shades of the ink etc. I have a hard time with many Iran stamps and after I have tried all I can, I send them to M. Sadri at persiphilla.

And after reading page 85 of the ICPR, you will see, which I wasn't sure of the color and the reference of color, brownish, is in reguards to the gum. But hey I learned one more thing about the stamps of Persia-

Sure they are many minefields with Persian stamps. I picked this one up for a buck. Knowing that there are no forgeries of this handstamp listed and full original gum in mint condition I sent it in. CV$ 40.00. Its listed right now with three watchers. Hope It sells.

Just need one more for a complete set. I dug through all my certified stamps. I knew I had them. You will notice in the example given how the differences between valid/real vs. Fake are so close. The bottom two stamps are certified by M. Sadri.

seem to look alike at all.Can you be sure of the M.Sadri signature?

Evening
The stamped signature on the front of cert card should match up with stamp on the reverse of the stamp. As to it validation there is no question.
