I have these four stamps (.50, 1.00, 2.00 & 5.00)and while they are definitely Chinese, they could also be Taiwan. I have seen them before while browsing aroung the different stamp forums on the internet and now I can't remember where I found them. I'm tired of searching... can anyone help?

On the bottom right corner of the turquoise one next to the 1.00 value is a symbol consisting of a rectangle with a stick going vertically up through its centre. This is the character for The Peoples republic of China, Ie Communist China. usually there is a character like an inverted V with slightly concave curved lines somewhere on the stamp, this is the character for People. those are the only two characters I know.

@Noocassel These are ROC not PRC stamps. Both ROC and PRC contains the character "people" in Chinese although ROC does not have it explicitly in English.
