This charity stamp was issued by the Danmarkimut Komiteen in 1942 to collect funds for the post war reconstruction of Denmark and sold for 5 ore per stamp. The stamps were issued in sheets of 50, perforated 12-1/2 and imperforate at the edges. Postal authorities requested that all official mail in Greenland be franked with a Danmarkimut stamp from March 1944 until May 1945.
The stamps were printed by the Ace Art Corporation in New York City, New York.
