Photogravure With Traditionally Etched Cylinders - Cross Screen Not Open But Closed Or Clogged!

In the usual traditional photogravure, the cross screens have edges that are rather regular so you can count the number of "teeth" and so measure the screen gauge....

Quite some Mexican stamps printed by the State Printers [T.I.E.V.] in Mexico on one of their Goebel presses show a remarkble type of screen whwere the edges seem clogged.
