Stamp Gauge For Top And Bottom

Dear friends plz I need ur opinion if I do use the gauge correctley or not .

Top = 10.25 perfs
Bottom = 10 perfs

Opinion. I prefer to use the teeth, lining up with the lines.
If you place the stamp on a sliding scale perf guage, you can shift the stamp
up and down the scale till the teeth exactly match.

Using the dots, I feel you sometimes can get "pin creep" without noticing it.

Rod, all I wanted to do is get him to use a gauge plus make him realize that his stamp is common,

I was responding to the Original Poster, not you Peter.
I try not to criticise any poster for anything, just offer my opinions.

According to your gauge, it appears to be close to the 10.25 on top (maybe 10.3 - 10.4 if you line it up correctly, at 10.25 your perforations appear to be slightly mis-matched with the gauge dots) and 10 on bottom. However, I believe your stamp is actually perf. 11 on top and bottom.

Referencing your other post (Washington 1 cent 10 perf) about the perforations on this stamp, I added input, including images, and questions about your gauge to help with determining the correct perforation measurement. Please provide information about your perforation gauge.

I think it is not professional print on A4 paper .

Don
