Help Me Determine Whether My NFLD #3 Is Mesh Paper

I've read everything I can find on distinguishing mesh paper but I'm still lost. I recently purchased what purports to be a Newfoundland #3 and I can't tell, in my ignorance, whether the paper is mesh proving it is a #3 or not mesh making it #11A.

I'm attaching a scan of the backs of the putative #3 and the #11A that I've owned for some time and I hope someone can offer a more expert opinion. I scanned them at a resolution of 1200 but had to use the Image Optimizer to get them below 200KB.
