You can't really find a more obscure advertising label than this.

An almost one century old label advertising a four-day convention and exhibition for a very specific trade association.

I happened across your post, I have this stamp in my collection. NAPRE started in 1910 with a convention and in 1911 started the association. I have a 1914 bronze coin that was also an advertisement for the association. In the 1950's, they changed the name to RETA Refrigerating Engineers and Technicians Association. They manage the main training and certification programs for Industrial Refrigeration with over 6,000 members today.

From Wikipedia "Ice Trade": "In the years after the war (WWI) the natural ice industry collapsed into insignificance. Industry turned entirely to plant ice and mechanical cooling systems and the introduction of cheap electric motors resulted in modern refrigerators becoming common in U.S. homes by the 1930s and more widely across Europe in the 1950s, allowing ice to be made in the home."

My first wife's grandfather owned a fuel and ice company in the heyday of providing ice. He harvested the Congamond Lakes in Southwick MA in the Winter and became a very wealthy man. Fortunately he had the fuel side to depend on when the ice industry melted into obsolescence.
