On the pattern index pages with the illustrations there is a "rate" notation in the lower right corner. For example, on p. N-17, the first illustration (N136) has a rate of "C". Can someone point me to where in the catalog the rate is described/explained in the catalog.
Very good question. I checked my new [2018 Endicott] edition of the catalog and it seems to have omitted the page describing the ratings. In the previous edition [1998 Randall] there was a whole page on ratings [page vii]. I don't know if this was intentionally omitted or an oversight. There is always a problem equating specialized ratings with cash value. I use an exponential scale when evaluating: A ($100.00) B (10.00) C (1.00) D (0.10) E (0.01) F(0.001)
