Part of the catalogue text on this issue.

Some translation. The stamps were sold from the 21th of December until the 3rd of January, this short 2 week time explains the lower number of sold examples at the post office, although I personally think still pretty good considering all the holidays within that period of time.

Sheets were printed in sheets of 100. 5 x 20, 5 horizontal 20 vertical.

They were only allowed for use inside the Netherlands(Did not always happen).

Bottom part: first row of number shows copies sold at the post office, second row shows CTO stamps handed over to the TBC committy to be used in a way that benefited them. last row is total number.

Johan,

Thank you for the updated information. The numbers I quoted earlier were from my 2011 edition of the NVPH catalogue.

Which edition did you take your scan from? My 2017 edition mostly agrees, except the number sold of the 1 cent is given as 386.980 (and the totals are slightly different).

Hello J2186,

The catalogue I used is 6 years older. I think it is more accurate.

The numbers given as sold by the post office cannot be true. The stamps were sold all over the country. It is impossible to have nice roud figures of stamps sold at post offices, especially all 3 values.

I think that a number of a million each printed was confirmed, the ones handed over to the TBC council were taken of and the rest was considered as sold at post offices. A really wrong way to calculate.

I have the Handboek postwaarden(book with lots of extra information)It is in storage, as soon as I can, I will have a look in the book and post again

Johan.
