found it Dated 12/3/1907 measures just under 24.5 card is not cut at top -- question is were any coil 318's in USA then or did they produce after January 1 1908 ?? thank you for any help

top looks wavey but it is not it is smooth and straight - the card edge and stamp are both straight just a little worn - I got it out of an old box all were from the early 1900's

The stamp appears to have a standard straight margin-edge bottom, while the top-edge originally had perforations that have been worn-off the top-edge over time. The hint to the fact the top-edge perf have worn-off are the indentations along the top-edge. There were horizontal coils of this issue, however I do not believe this copy would pass muster.

According to the scott specialized, the coil stamps were issued in July 1908 - so as of December 1907, the coil stamp didn't exist.

There are also no used values listed, meaning it only exists in unused...

While in theory it should exist used, my understanding is that this coil was really experimental and was only sold in complete rolls. So it would have been used on advertising junk mail rather then an ordinary post card in any case.
