Inherited Stamps From All Over. 19 In All.

Hello to all! My Grandfather was born in 1897 in Yugoslavia and came to America in 1916. Although I inherited both coin and stamp collections I am really only into error cents so this is new to me. I will only post a few at a time and if this is like the Coin Community Forum, of which I am a member of, I know I will be dealing with experts in this field. Here are a few of my stamps, insight needed please.

Thank you for your response! Again, I am new to this and am thankful for the education. To me the value lies in the fact they came from my grandfather. And, even IF any of the stamps that I have are indeed valuable they will never be for sale and handed down.

Post more though, as with coins you can be sure that much depends upon condition (third stamp down). Was your grandfather Serbian by chance, as 1916 would have equated to the fall of the country to the Austro-Hungarians in WW1?

Yes, he was Serbian. He fought in WWI AS AN American and became a naturalized citizen of the US after the war in 1921.

The first two are unissued Montenegro government in exile stamps, circa 1916, next is Romania, 1906 and lastly Mauritania when it was a French colony, 1913-1938. Torn stamps almost never have value.
