If you are interested in collecting aerograms I can recommend that you consider investing in a set of "KESSLER'S CATALOGUE OF AEROGRAMS" This is a three volume set but for a person getting started then my suggestion is to start with just Volumes I and II as those cover the actual aerograms of all of the countries around the world (Volume I is USA, UN and Aden through Gold Coast, plus British Military Forces (195 pages); and, Volume II is Granada to Zanzibar (117 pages). Volume III is just a guide to topicalists so in my opinion this is one you might wait to buy until you become a serious collector of these things. These Kessler catalogs were last printed in 1961 so you would need to find a used set, or go to someone who is reprinting copies and selling them in notebooks of photo copied pages. The American Airmail Society issued a catalog of them in 1952 so I recommend the Kessler catalogs as being more complete in that it has an additional 10 years worth of entries. I am not aware of many collectors of these so you may find that collecting them may not have much competition and you should be able to pick up most for very modest prices. Oh, and one additional thought, in your photo your aerogramme is shown held to a page with four stamp mounts. My suggestion is not to do this as the mounts will cause some damage to the areas where they are holding the aerogramme's paper. Instead you should either use corner mounts or even better, use cover albums designed for holding covers in pockets designed to hold covers in pockets or sleeves and without any kind of glue. For example, most first day cover albums are made with such pockets or sleeves integrated into them.
