I see a few bumps on the back. You have to make sure they are not paper damage. But I think getting a cert does not hurt since at least you know it is genuine.

Too bad about that reperf point (left side perfs do not appear to be parallel to right side perfs). In that case you won't get a grade. Too bad as it is a nice looking stamp.

Here are the areas I'd be concerned about. All look like potential faults to me (in addition to the reperf).

The large oval is seeing the vignette through the paper. However the small lefthand vertical oval appears to be a thin.

revcollector, I disagree. It's a discolored area that does not line up with the vignette (it goes almost to the middle of the "ST" of "POSTAGE"). It almost looks like a light oil soak/stain one might see from a heavier cancellation, but the cancel isn't heavy & it doesn't line up either. It could be a hinge mark, but it's angled in a very weird way, such that it's unlikely IMO. If there's something there, it should show with a good UV lamp and/or a quick dip in fluid...

The small crease/tear (my small oval @ upper left) is definitely a fault IMO and will show/flash in fluid (and get called on a cert), If the owner posted scans from a flatbed scanner, not photographs, then the stamp is reperfed as well. The other areas may or may not be faults, but based on what I see, this isn'worth submitting for a cert (to answer the OP's question.)

hello all that helped,

sorry for not responding but I was high on morphine due to a neck hernia, and responding while seeing would not have worked well.

the pictures are flat bed scans. thank to all the help from all off you I have saved myself from paying for a cert that would not have added.of course not very happy with the re-perf, but happy you all were willing to spend time to help me avoid further damage!!

hope to be able to return the favor some time in future

I hope you are feeling better. Glad you had a chance to respond and that you feel that way. People here have been very helpful to me too. I think saving someone cert fees is a good example. Better luck.
