Hi, I have this stamp, which is a FOURNIER FORGERY ADOLF SERIES, of the famous 108 parale Bull Head, ROMANIA-MOLDOVA province,1856. No catalog can help me with the value. Only past sales,in European auctions, but again not ADOLF SERIES. Any idea of the value or a more sources of information. Thank you *** Edited by Staff to remove YELLING. The Serrane Guide, published by the APS in 1998, mentions a Paris set and a Geneva set among the forgeries of #s 5-7. It does not mention an Adolf Series. |

What are you asking about ? Please make it clearer what do you want to know . Auction houses in Europe and in the U.S. don't sell cheaper fakes unless they are part of a bulk lot . |

Floortrader, my question was if on this site anyone has some information, knowledge on this stamp forgery by Fournier. And saw already in auctions this type of Fournier Bull Head. Raymojd, as per the site all are FOURNIER.He did different type of BULL HEAD forgeries.None for sale, that I can have a value .None. CORINPHILA sold one not thd same type for feww hundreds swiss franc. To me even forgery , but if is rare or extremely rare, should hsve a plus value.Common forgeries I agree, 5 to 10 dollars. In Germany, a Fournier was sold for 15000$ US, common BULL HEAD, but it was on Laid paper. MOLDOVA BULL HEAD, is an interesting subject and interesting stamp. Open to any information about this specific type. |

If you click on the first page, on that site, down, were is saying A collection of Fournier forgeries it will open a text about Fournier.A lot of his books with forgeries were burn after his dead.Reason why is possible to see an increase of the value for Fournier remaining stamps.Long term investment maybe.. |

Quote: Any idea of the value or a more sources of information. Why don't you email Frank or Grace on the link Ray gave us. It is the same stamp see what they sold it for. I must say, a fairly amateurish forgery, the Posthorn has lines in the mouth. |
