a 1898 Philidelpia cancell I have not seen before, anyone have and info?

and

a blue/megane cincinnati 1879 with a 10 in the round killer.

any one any info and who knows waht the 10 is?

The first one is a Barry machine cancel (several hundred different varieties used mostly in mid to large size cities, 1895-1909).

Cincinnati used a number of those numeral cancels. I have an accumulation of them but haven't studied them (they were to identify different devices or clerks). The US Cancellation Club is likely to have published an article about them at some point.
