Last year I decided to start collecting revenue stamped paper (Scott RN). Beyond collecting them by Scott catalogue number/type, you can expand that to collecting by state, city, bank, printer, vignette, resulting in possbilities numbering in the thousands.

There are a myriad of ways to collect RNs.

My collection at this point is tiny, miniscule compared to specialists, numbering only a few hundred examples. However, I wanted to come up with a different way to display them online rather than just incorporating them into my main collection stream, as the data fields, as well as the manner in which I store and track them, is different from the way I treat my main revenue collection.

So I've come up with a presentation that offers two different pages for the same items, one being data-centric that is searchable and sortable, and the other being a visual gallery display.

Note: These pages are just for the small-sized RNs. Large format RN documents are incorporated into my main collection.

Any comments/suggestions appreciated.

Again, keep in mind that the 220 pieces currently shown are a tiny representation of what is out there to be collected.

I love it. I've also accumulated a tiny selection of RNs, entirely based on cool (to me) appearance or, occasionally, a tie-in to a particular company or place. The vignettes in particular are often spectacular. Nice job!

I don't collect them but your pages are great. Thanks for sharing not only the items but how you organized them.

Very nice. One small comment: the state column sorts by postal abbreviation, thus Iowa comes before Illinois and Indiana. Similarly Massachusetts, Maryland and Maine are jumbled, etc. One of the pitfalls of abbreviations.

John,

Thanks for the input on the states, now fixed. I also added a version of the gallery page so you can choose between sorted in Scott order vs. most recently added first.
