hi i'm new to this forum and to this hobby. I was asked to help my friend out to sell his Huge collection of stamps. I dont know where to start so I decided to take some pictures and post them so maybe you can help me out and tell me what I can expect to get for them.
thanks any suggestions are very valuable to me appreciate it

this album is german only stamps, starting 1874-1981 their are mixed new and used, the pictures I posted are roughly 1/4 of the book, though its the only part that have stamps older than 1935 the rest are 1940th to 1981

You can try ebay, or craigslist. Or try contacting your local stamp club. Unfortunately for your friend you are not going to get a full price at any of these places, especially if you be selling it all at once

Nice looking stamps, Craigs list would be a good place to start, but knowing the value of the collection or knowing how much you expect is important.

I would post them on ebay all together. Post as many pictures as you can. I like to buy my stamps this way, in country collections. I never buy kiloware because of the dups. It is much more enjoyable to have the stamps on pages to know there are not just a dup lot and to get a better view of what I am getting. When I look for stamps on ebay, I sort by words like "pages" or "collection" or such more so than by country sometimes. My album is very extensive and it is hard to buy single stamps before I start with a collection. My album has over 12,000 pages and you cannot start a country one stamp at a time. These mixed lots that are usually sold are too random and far spread in years to put a good dent in the country. So buy listing them all at once will bring a different collector style into the bidding. If they were listed page by page, I would not bid unless I was looking for a particular stamp or something. I hate winning part of a collection or trying to bid on 30 items to get just one collection. Too much of a chance to loose half of what I really wanted, to fill holes.

Oh, I would sell the Bayern stamps separately from the german stamps.
