I went 1 for 1 and won an item I really liked at a good price. I didn't watch a lot of it but I thought the bidding was pretty solid.
Did you notice the lot of 1,500,000 US stamps in glassines that sold for $900? |

Ken ---Don't look at or follow U.S. material . But notice some strong bidding in the foreign collections section and had to pay up on two lots and did good on two others . I was surprised on other lots that had strong bidding as I listen to the bidding .The general collections and bulk accumulations had some very active bidding . |

You never know. The lots that were passed at their July auction did good this time around. I see strength overall. I just battled for some large lots at Spink. Very competitive. Let the first one go at four times estimate and paid up for the second one at five times estimate. Good to see. I consigned to Kellehers July collections sale as well and came away a happy camper. |

My experiences were limited. Got outbid on the one item in the Loth collection. Probably also got outbid on the one lot in the 2nd auction. Will analyze later.
Wasn't a weekend for "stamping" since I was gone hiking in two obscure wilderness study areas in NW Colorado, near the Utah state line. When one resides in a state where one can live every weekend in the outdoors, you gotta go for it. |

They hired a new receptionist and a Marketing person. They both started October 1 and they really needed them. |

Can you give a glimpse at what prices you paid? I know it's above my pay role, just curious. |

Rob ,Most people don't want to discuss their philatelic spending ,it serves no purpose .If you want prices realized on auction lots it is all on SAN's. You can see a example right here on the chat board ,where I spend $1500.00 on 17 cartons of bulk material. I plan to get my money back over the next year thru sales on ebay .Less than 2% of the bulk shipment will stay with me ,but right now and the next three months I will be enjoying "playing " with it and finding some very neat stuff . |

Hi Rob - you can just check out the auction catalogs online - they all show prices realized. |
