I purchased this stamp on ebay and I am trying to determine if it is Scott 594 or 596. Can you help me by looking at my photograph? Thanking you in advance for your kindness and consideration.

Just a few silly questions.

Did you measure the perforations to verify Perf 11?
Can you show us the reverse?
Why do you think it is a $11,000 or $175,000 stamp rather than a 20 cent stamp?

Also, there is a very large stamp show in your area in a few weeks. You can bring it there for experts to look and verify your assumptions. Check out Sescal at:

Here is the reverse of the stamp and I counted the perfs. as best that I could and 11 is what I came up with, I also attempted to measure the stamp.

Sharons25, counting perforations and measuring a stamp does not mean a thing. You should get a perforation gauge to measure perforations with. It would also help if you check for a watermark.

This issue does not have any watermarks at all, no need to do that.

Yes I realize that. Just pointing out a few basics that stamp collectors should know

Peter, I will respectfully disagree. "Pointing out a few basics" should NOT include recommending to watermark an issue which has no watermarks.

No. You do not have a 594 or 596. Here is an article on your stamp. https://www.linns.com/news/us-stamp...96.html.html

I believe that it is a U.S. Scott # 632a booklet stamp.
