Agree. Doesn't look right. The paper looks too new, and dazzlingly white. Perfect Maltese Cross for good measure.
On the other hand, it's only a photo so can't be 100 percent sure, but I would be very cautious. |

I have reported this seller's fake listings. So far I spotted 3 fake two pence blue he put up for sale with intense bidding. His penny blacks look sound though. |

Perf12,
I could be wrong but is your answer in the correct thread as image shown does not seem to show a 2 pence stamp. |

Please just link to the items, uploading screenshots is just a waste of disk space. |

Bobby131313, if not mistaken, I think forummers are encouraged to post images rather than links. |

IMO, pennyblackie's second forgery pic is much more useful. Details and print surface show these as a rather crude forgeries. |

The lettering on the stamp is off for all the two pence blues sold by this seller. The blue background looks every bit like a modern print. I am just shocked that the people bidding are unaware, or are people genuinely interested to collect poor examples of forgery? |

I message the seller and pointed out that the blues he is selling are fakes and this was the reply:
"Hello,
Iīm sorry but you are very much mistaken! I donīt sell fakes!! ALL stamps I sell are 100% authentic. I give a full guarantee to that effect.
It may be the bad quality of my photos. I just have and iPhone4 so the quality is inferior.
However, again, I respectfully disagree with you entirely. I would never dream of selling a fake, let alone selling a fake pretending it is real!!!
Kind regards,
Gregory"
He seems adamant about the authenticity of those stamps, I can't believe it! |

Both stamps look genuine plate 2 stamps... looks like he had adjusted the gamma/contrast to enhance the red of the cancels? or just the way it was photographed. Genuine stamps in my opinion. |
