What do users of this album usually do about pages in them for areas you already have collections of and don't want to remount on the International pages? I currently am filling spaces in an old Gibbons Imperial and a newer George VI album. Those albums are of course more comprehensive than the Scott pages. My thinking is to use the British pages in the International for duplicates or lower grades.
I have similar problems as I have the Vintage Scott, Minkus, and the Blues as well as country collections, and George VI x2 and QEII from 53-62, and omnibus pages.
I just fill in a certain order for mint and used and if I have more than 1, fill more spaces in the different sets. Some, you can have a lot of stamp multiples. It can get very expensive for the pricier stamps.
I'm not quite sure I understand the question, but I sometimes photocopy pages onto International album sized blank pages that have been hole punched to fit that album. The result is a good looking page which duplicates the original I've copied from, but looks original to the International album and which can be put into that album along with the other pages. The cost is pretty cheap both for paper and photocopying. I copy only my own pages and since I'm not selling them, I don't think my copying violates any rules or regulations. I also sometimes photocopy damaged, stained, or yellowed pages onto new paper to get a brand new page.
I collect 19th Century U.S. revenues and, using a Scott International Part I, worldwide 1840-1940. The International has pages for U.S. revenues, and for that I use duplicates. The cost isn't a big deal, because, as you probably know, the International doesn't have spaces for the most expensive stamps.
Stamps: for my specialty areas; most notably right now classic Mexico and some Portuguese colonies; I use trimmed down Scott National pages that I can then insert into my International binders. Those National pages came from collections that I bought.
