Since starting my worldwide collecting adventure I've accumulated a good number of different sized stamp mounts. Problem is I don't have any type of centralized storage for them so I am constantly trying to locate the ones I need.
Does anyone have any storage systems they would like to share pictures for?
It would be mainly for the full length Showgard strips, not pre-cuts. I would love to somehow keep these all gathered up for easy access.

I've just used a plastic storage box, about shoebox size, that is long enough to hold the less commonly used sizes in their packages, one of each long side down, in size no. order. You'd want something to tell you when you've run out of a certain size; a Post-It stuck on it will do. The commonest strip sizes (I'm thinking US sizes here) just go in a handy tray or drawer as you'll probably be keeping several packages at a time of those.
If you've seen V- or U-shaped magazine racks, you can make or use something like that, but they take up more room than I wanted to spare. |

I don't have a photo at the moment, but for strips I use one of those silverware holder things that you put in a kitchen drawer. It holds 5 sizes of strips, which takes care of almost all of the stamps I mount in my 1840-1940 Big Blue.

Great solutions so far. My main consideration is that I don't have any drawer storage space to speak if so it will have to be desktop storage, with ease of access and a small footprint. I'm really liking the small tray with the file tabs. |

I use something similar, a letter holder. I keep my large mounts in a small box. Dan |

Experienced stamps need a home too. I'd rather have an example that is imperfect than no example. I collect for enjoyment, not investment. APS Member #223433 Postmark Collectors Club Member #6333 Meter Stamp Society Member #1409 |

Probably too large per your small footprint comment. It does still leave space under the bins though. Pardon the mess - real world desk! |

I like the use of small plastic drawer units since I want to keep the mounts as clean as possible and I like things out of sight when not using them. There's also nothing wrong with a small size accordion folder with multiple pockets, the kind often used to store checks and bills. They always seem to come in brown with an elastic strap to wrap around them. |
