The listing I find in Scott is for #49, 2c green, but not a 2c carmine.
Any help on Scott catalog #, and value, thanks.

Doodah,
It looks to me, like it may be postal stationery, is the paper thick?

Yes, this is a color proof. Yours is either 251 (rose paper) or 252 (yellowish paper). Here is the entry from the 1960 Galvez catalog for Spanish proofs and essays.
I've seen quite a few sell on ebay in the $20-25 range. Sometimes you can even find them being sold as some kind of forgery, being offered really cheap.

Also, the one in the auction picture, appears to be the 250 Rose, and not the Carmine that it is described as. Not that it matters, as they typically sell for about the same.

It seems like no postal stationery card was issued during Isabel II's reign.
Here is P1 (according to Michel catalog) issued when Spain has become a republic.

In my view it's the colour trial, that Filabo catalog gives number "54 ppc". My 2005 catalog, quotes it at 40 €.

As for stationery, it was first issued by Spanish PO in 1873, during Spain's first republic (1873/74). Isabel II reigned until 1868.
