I too was a dreamer but found this last year a strip of 319fj on cover, yes it has a certificate as so. So I say keep looking you just might find something, And the chase is the fun part. To ask all experts out there this question. Is this the only cover to have Scott 319fj on it. Im still looking for that information.

Isn't a used 319Fj catalogued at $1.75? Times three equals $5.25 catalogue value, realistic ebay price about 99 cents. How much was the cert? Am I missing something here. |

You still have not answered my question. What am I missing? How did you arrive at the conclusion that your stamps are catalogued at $200? They are used, correct? |

Perhaps it's a classic case of assuming scarcity directly impacts value. Strip of 3 on cover (ugly as it is) May very well be rare. For all we know, this verity on cover in a strip of 3 might be unique? But someone has to put value into it, and a color variety, especially considering the condition, will never be worth anywhere near 1 unused stamp, even if a strip of 3 on cover is unique. Only worth what someone is willing to pay. |

It is a case of confirming to oneself what the desired outcome should be. A quick peruse of the Siegel site, glance at the Scott catalog and look for what? Dollar signs. Never mind that the desired pricing is for mint and the stamps are used. I often find it ironic how fleet of mind some budding (and experienced) philatelists are when researching or lack there of. I started out the same way and am being self critical here. One of the primary requirements of stamp collecting is attention to details and the associated information those details lead you to. Slow down and smell the watermark fluid. |
