I'm also curious. My 2017 Scotts, which is the same year as the cert, say that a 319Fj is only worth $1.75 each as a used stamp, which these clearly are. I'd love to hear where the catalog value came from. |

I am curious. He is stating that it is a rarity used on cover. Does anyone else have a copy of this issue, 319Fj used on cover? If so I would like to see it.
Personally even if it was the only known one or three on cover, I could not entertain such a value because of the cover condition and the low catalogue value Scott has placed on the stamp.
Are they that common used or are they slightly undervalued as used? Thanks.

There are other used 319Fj on cover, they pop up in a quick online search. But the population of these on cover is not known by anyone nor are there any published census, so making any claim about a population number is dicey ground. In my opinion sellers can ask any ridiculous price they want but the big issue is the listing claim about catalog value. Don |

This is interesting.I had a offer of $175.00. I turned it down. I got the value of a stamp identified sight but will not to say its name. I will contact them to have them change the cv value on the stamps though. One thing I do ask though is search for 319Fj on cover for sale. You will have your work cut out for you.I will take it off ebay but hold on to it.Thank you for all your help. |

Cv listed incorrectly on a stamp identity web. I will contact them to fix it. Listing was taken down. Thank you for telling me. |

319 and 319F were issued in absolutely huge quantities and come in a variety of shades. The vast majority of collectors do not care to differentiate among the shades or don't have the multiple comparison copies - it is the realm for the specialists. I don't care what shade mine are, yet I have 100s of them both on and off cover. Nor is the cost of certifying justifiable for the great majority of these 319 and 319F examples. Thus the lack of certified copies is NOT an indicator of how many 319Fj exist on cover. Those 319 and 319F covers which are certified have been done so largely for their postal history aspects and not the incidental shade of the stamps. I guess to them it was worth $175.00. But im glad I didnt sell it to them. All though there money would have be refunded. This is a good leaning lesson for me, I should start buying catalogs instead of depending on on line info. |

You really should use Scott instead of the Swedish Tiger if you are going to sell stamps and covers. |

Richar said Quote: This is a good leaning lesson for me, I should start buying catalogs instead of depending on on line info. How refreshing! You would not believe how many times people have come on here and refused to listen to the various family members. Good for you, and keep on searching. |
