If you care to offer the stamp design, and the value tablet, makes it a dash easier to cross reference.

P12, If SG36 is Sc#30, then it is a KG5 Sideface.
Perf : 14.25 x 14 comb
Colours : Violet Blue, Pale Dull Violet Blue, and Bright Violet Blue.

So SG 36 = Scott 30 and SG 79 = Scott 72. Correct?

Thanks.

For what it is worth, my impression is that SG 36 is Scott 46 and SG 79 is Scott 30.
The key is trying to determine the correlation between the two catalogs for the watermarks.

I would be interested to see if anyone else agrees with me.

I agree with KGVI. How could SG#36 be Scott#30? Face values seem different.

For those of you who do not have both catalogs, let me elaborate.

SG 36 - 2-1/2d Deep Blue - Die II - Watermark 6 which is the Narrow Crown.
Using the chart copied above, Scott lists what appears to be the Narrow Crown as Watermark 10.
Watermark 10 is comprised of Scott 45 - 59.
The 2-1/2d Blue would be Scott 46.

SG 79 - 3d Dull Ultramarine - Watermark 5 which is listed by Scott as Watermark 9.
Watermark 9 in Scott is 19 - 44
The 3d Ultramarine would be Scott 30.
