Confused About This 1915 Washington

What is this? It's a 10 perf Washington but its not a coil and not pale and it has 1915 on it like a precancel.

Hi,

The "1915" is simply a portion of the postmark, which happened to be applied more or less centered and more or less level with the stamp.

It is not a precancel.

Based on the 10 perforation and the 1915 date your stamp should be a Scott 425, perforated 10 with a single line watermark.
