Just a heads-up for people with standing orders that include souvenir sheets but not panes.

I was told this morning by a rep at the philatelic centre that the current standing order shipment which has the Armistice centennial and Christmas stamps does not include the Bighorn Sheep souvenir sheet because its listed as a pane.

The August-October Details No. 7 has the block of 4 as "Pane of 4 stamps (souvenir sheet)" Note that the "souvenir sheet" part is in brackets.

The rep couldn't give me a good answer on whether it was scheduled to be shipped as part of a future order, so I had her request that the order desk send me the sheet (once and once only, just in case) and also waive the shipping charge since it really should have been included with this last order.

If you want the item, I recommend that you phone in to the philatelic centre and find out whether or not you have to order it separately.

Also, if you don't want it because of the $16 price, then it might be prudent to make sure it isn't automatically included in a future shipment.

Typical management. If they put a collector in charge maybe people who have standing orders will not have to call because of not receiving issues. It looks like a souvenir sheet, and they even call it one in brackets, so it must be. But wait, since the margins are perforated they call it a " pane". Anyway they call it both so the pane should be included as a souvenir sheet with standing orders. That is what their website shows also - shown below and taken from their website.

If you don't want the souvenir sheet of 4 "pane" and just want a single you can always order the quartely pack. You will then get all the issues from Oct- Dec 2018.

They were so brilliant I bought the press sheet of nine at the website advertised price of $128.00 cdn even though face was $144.00, when it was first advertised and another community member mentioned it. They did send it to me at the lower advertised price.

And in case you missed it they did put out an overprinted souvenir sheet of the bird issue also this year to Celebrate the 27th International Ornithological Congress in Vancouver. Don't know if that was included in standing order either.

The $5.00 Moose (SC 1693) and $8.00 Bear (SC 1694) stamps were both identified as "pane of 4" in the 2003 and 1997 Details respectively.

My Bear pane is still in the sealed CP presentation box so I don't have an image of it to display, but it is similar to the Moose pane.
