Looking to connect with fellow collectors of Canadian Christmas First Day Covers. The 1970 issue of Canada's Christmas stamps is one of my favourites.

Canpac, welcome.I do collect all the P.O issued first day covers of Canada even though many collectors have shunned them.

I also collect the older self addressed ones made by different manufactures. I do have almost all the Christmas issued ones. What exactly is it you are looking to address.

Mike

Thanks Mike.
I have all the Christmas FDC issued by Canada Post except for one year I believe. I am always looking for FDC's with different cachets other than Canada Post especially for the earlier years and especially for 1970. Canada has been issuing Christmas stamps since 1964 and there were many cachet makers in the earlier years until Canada Post got into the business of producing FDC's.After a few years a lot off these cachet makers stopped ding Canadian FDC's. Anything in particular you are looking for.

Thanks for the reply

Hello to Black Jag

That would be a very interesting collection. I have most of the Canada FDC's and OFDC's from the mid 70's up to and including 2015. I am just doing Christmas and special events I like from here onion. Did the Canada 150 series and the Halifax Explosion covers.

Thank you for the reply

You may be interested in the British North America Philatelic Society's First Day Cover Study Group, http://www.canadafdc.org/Drupal/

BNAPS also has Christmas Study Group, but I do not know how active they are.
