Does anyone know if collecting PNG postmarks is a thing, so to speak? Is there a specialised catalogue or rating system for them?

This one was used at Manus (Island) in the short period after the war before the office was renamed Lorengau at the beginning of 1951.

The only examples of these cds I've been able to find were all used before the war, mainly in 1934. So maybe very rare, I don't know.

I had to look up what you meant. By the way you have the Prince hanging upside down.

Hi Louise. That's King George VI! I deliberately put it upside down because it's the cancellations not the stamps that are of interest here! Thanks for looking!

He was 47 when that stamp was printed, the image was from his coronation, at the time of ascension he was 42.
