Welcome to the forum from one who is a recent new member. One enterprising soul should compile a list of the things we choose to collect -- it would be very long indeed. I am never critical of the choices, whatever rocks your boat is what you should collect. This is one of the beauties of philately. The first thing that struck me when I read your post is whether you want to make money in the marketplace of philately. If so, you'd better be very learned and very rich, because you're entering a very competitive field.
