I recently received this set of private postal stationery, so I thought I'd share.

This card set was issued to commemorate the 4th Stamp Dealers Day (4. Tag der Briefmarkenhandels) in Leipzig, 7-9 September 1941.

Front side - each card differs on this side only in the title at upper left

The designs on the rear are paintings of a "Prof. A. Janesch".

Fr PP150 C 1/01 -- camouflaged heavy gun position

Fr PP150 C 1/02 -- 1st pontoon bridge at Breisach

Fr PP150 C 1/03 -- in captivity

Fr PP150 C 1/04 -- old and young comrades

Fr PP150 C 1/05 -- Bordeaux harbor

Fr PP150 C 1/06 -- after a Stuka attack

Fr PP150 C 1/07 -- mountain troop in front of Narvik

Fr PP150 C 1/08 -- in a machine gun bunker on the Upper Rhine

Fr PP150 C 1/09 -- landing in rafts

Fr PP150 C 1/10 -- after the storm at Le Thillot

Fr PP150 C 1/11 -- flak gun on the Atlantic coast

Fr PP150 C 1/12 -- flak position

A special post office at the exhibition sold the postcards to attendees for 15 Rpf each, but the majority were sold to dealers who sold the 12-card series for 3 Reichsmark.

A commemorative cancel was available at the event.

Interesting set of cards. Thanks for posting them. I looked up the artist Albert Janesch. He was Austrian and seems to have been an accomplished painter. I especially like the card with the scene of Bordeaux harbor.

One of these cards, Fr. PP150 C 1/09 -- landing in rafts, is for sale on ebay listed at $38.50, Have you seen any of them postally used?

Don

Probably a more accomplished Nazi than painter, I think.

Don,

I've seen a few used, but because of the nature of these cards' issue, almost all uses are philatelic.
