Hey guys I have a bunch of old stamps and I'm trying to find out if any are valuable, I admit I know nothing about stamps or collecting so all input is appreciated. These are 2 Russian stamps? I can't find any info on them, any clues?
Yes, Russia. Get over to a public library reference section and see the Scott (or other stamp) catalogs there. These are stamps of minimal value, cancelled-to-order (CTO) to be sold to collectors cheaply (these may still have gum on the back). A lot of Russian stamps of the Soviet period are similar in value. 1966 is the date of issue of the original lithographed set. However, these appear to be printed by engraving. Then they are from the 1968 issue using the same designs but in slightly different colors.
